Belal Muhammed vs Lyman Good
Belal Muhammed (-135) (16-3-0)
Muhammed enters Saturday night’s UFC Fight Night card on a two-fight win streak. He’s an extremely technical boxer with a high volume approach. He’s 6-1 in his last seven fights with the only loss coming in a decision to surging contender Geoff Neal. He’s got a great chin, a high fight IQ, and he’ll be looking to get a victory and a number next to his name in an extremely deep welterweight division. However, he’ll be going up against a guy in Lyman Good that brings a ton of power to the table and only needs one shot to get it done.
Lyman Good (+105) (21-5-0, 1 NC)
Good has had an up and down career in the UFC, trading wins and losses over his brief 5 fight stint. He began 2019 being submitted by Demian Maia but was able to even it up with a knockout over Chance Rencountre most recently. “Cyborg” has impressive power and can put out the lights in any moment, however he also has a bad habit of making costly mistakes and his UFC record is proof of that. He’ll have to put it all together Saturday night if he hopes to come out with the victory over the well-rounded Muhammed.
Prediction: Belal Muhammed via Decision
Muhammed has the technical boxing to give Good a lot of problems but he’s most likely going to have his chin tested a few times. He’s only been knocked out once in his career and that was in 2015 to Vicente Luque. Good is a physical specimen and is dangerous at all ranges but I don’t think he’ll be able to knock Muhammed out. I expect Muhammed to utilize his superior boxing and mix in some grappling to point his way to a victory in this one.
